What is a public adjuster?

Public Adjusters are professionals licensed by your state government to protect the policyholder who has sustained a covered insurance loss.   

A Public Adjuster exclusively represents the interests of the policyholder.  We understand the insurance policy and the procedures imposed by the insurance policy provisions.  Though we are not lawyers, we understand the meaning of the insurance contract language, the legal ease, the applicable laws and how to effectively apply them.

We know exactly what to do after a loss occurs and we have the resources to: analyze the damages; accurately assess and document your loss; assemble claim support data; review your coverage and to determine current replacement costs.  We even provide the construction estimates.

Unlike the insurance company's claim adjuster ("independent adjuster" or insurance company employee), your Public Adjuster's objective is to maximize the amount that the insurance company agrees to pay.   We work closely with you and the insurance company representatives and will negotiate the most fair and timely settlement possible so that payment can be arranged even before you start the interview process for the various needed construction contractors.  We can also help with the interview, hiring and work-product scrutiny relating to the contractors (More typical with large commercial losses).
